healing the past
y paintings recorded my healing
from childhood sexual abuse, as my colors went from black and white, to muddy earth tones, to pastels. One key piece was my first non-figurative, highly textured collage. I knew I had transformed a part of my soul when I walked through the Door of Truth which is now hanging in the lobby at the Northwest CASA in Arlington Heights, Illinois, which is dedicated to working with survivors of sexual abuse.
